12)Power projects

• Implementation  of  Smart  Grid Pilot Project at Kala Amb is in process.
• Renukaji  Dam  project(40MW),  conceived  as  a drinking  water  supply  scheme  for  the National  Capital  Territory  of  Delhi, envisages  construction  of 148  m  high rock  fill  dam  on  river  Giri  at  Dadahu  in Sirmaur  district. It will have 40 MW capacity.
• Thana Plaun 191 MW project  is  contemplated  as Storage-cum-Run-of  River  Scheme  on  river  Beas  in  Mandi district  of  Himachal  Pradesh.
• Berra Dol Solar Photovoltaic plant Project(5MW) is under consideration, a site  for this project has been identified at village Berra Dol, near Shri Naina Devi ji Shrine, District Bilaspur, (H.P.). The state distribution utility viz. Himachal Pradesh Electricity Board Ltd. (HPSEBL) has agreed to purchase power from this project under Renewable Energy Power purchase obligation (RPPO).
• During  the current  financial  year  800  SPV Domestic  Lights  have  provided upto  December,  2015 
• Himurja  is  operating  Micro  Hydel projects  in the state. Bara  Bhangal (40  KW)  and  Sarahan (30  KW)  have been  executed  by  HIMURJA.
